TAKE EVERY CD YOU OWN WITH YOU EVERYWHERE!
Do you ever find yourself changing radio stations to find good music or to see if your favorite song is playing on another station? Or do you constantly find yourself searching through your CD collection to locate a certain artist, song or group of songs and realize you left the CD at work, at home or in your car? Last year I decided to put an end to that and I treated myself to an Apple iPod, which is a portable music player that can hold 10,000 songs, approximately 700 CD’s!
I have loaded every CD I own (about 4200 songs) onto my iPod, which include movie soundtracks, holiday songs, contemporary jazz, pop, comedy, R&B and hip hop. I have music as diverse as Ray Charles to User; Aretha Franklin to Alicia Keys. I have even legally downloaded songs from the iTunes music store on the internet for as low as .99 cents a song or $9.99 per album/CD. Now when I want to hear a song, I just pull it up on my iPod and play it whether I am in a mall, on a plane, at work, at home or even in my car
You can buy adapters to connect the iPod to your car stereo. You can attach the iPod to PC speakers or even your home stereo. The fact that all of your music must first get loaded onto your PC and then is added to your iPod gives you added benefits. You can buy a wireless device and have the music streamed from your computer to the device and connect it to a pair of speakers in any room of your home! I can even share music between computers in different rooms of the house!
You have total control of your music with an iPod. There are many other MP3 players on the market but none of them can match the combined flexibility of the iTunes music store, streaming music between computers and wireless devices as well as capacity and simple operation of the iPod.
Well, I have to go now. Some Marvin Gaye, some Luther Vandross, a little Anita, will definitely set this party off (smile).
