DRM Free Music?
Apple Inc and EMI Music have announced that EMI's entire catalog of music will be available for download at the Apple iTunes music store beginning in May without digital rights management. This means that my Roku device will now be able to play music from EMI after I upgrade my songs from that company in my library to the new format for 30 cents per song (of course I'll have to see if it's worth it and I may only upgrade certain albums I own). In a nutshell, songs without DRM are not copy protected (just as most Music Cd's are not copy protected. Hopefully it won't be long before the other Music Labels follow suit.
